Place the fears ‘When’ they belong | Explicit

Explicit Implicit memories.

Hippocampus and timestamping memories.

PTSD and how the trauma may not have been placed in the correct time.

Together, I started placing emotions, attitudes, methods – whatever I am aware of – in the right time.

We are told let go of the past. We are here, why carry the old etc. It sounds again like the timestamping implicit to explicit memory thing.

When the goal is to let go of the hold of the past memories + when told about PTSD resulting from past memory occurring now as if real…

… it felt only natural to consciously see when did it belong to?

Childhood? Not all of it.

Even there, that reaction was not necessary… Didn’t know better. OK…

The effect is extra ordinary.

When the emotion or body feeling has a time to be in, given a resting time in my lifeline… one sees if it was needed even then… and it is all in peace.

It makes sense. It was from then. Let it be there.

The idea that these could be feelings in the body that were not correctly marked and therefore felt now – directly nulls the emotional reasoning need of “I am feeling it, how can I say it is not real!”

With the clarity, it becomes, oh yes, it is just floating in now, place it when it belongs. Emotional reasoning has a reason now, to rest. “yes, yes, I am feeling now, doesn’t mean I have to go with it… just a feather from the past, let loose and floating, here let me keep in the right log.”

Instead of letting go of the past, what belonged in the past, is clearly marked and kept there.

It works with anger, reaction methods, sadnesses, accusations, shame, guilt, confusion…

… well… examining everything is too active… but when they do occur, now… see them, take some time to place them in the right time.

(Just my life observations, not advice.)
