In the book tribe of mentors, majority of the accomplished who answered Tim’s questions mentions meditation as very important to them.
(I got the kindle version of the book – it was included in Kindle Unlimited, which had a 3 month trial period)
Transcendental meditation, vipassana and other activities that contain the essence of meditation has been talked about multiple times.
Can’t be a coincidence. Motivates me And reaffirms me. It has become a normal activity for aware human beings…
One of them, whose accomplishments I found especially impressive, talks about how he realised the vastness of the unconscious mind. A book relating to right brain, cosmic crack and similar books seem to have influenced him.
I think I found this one particularly interesting because I personally understand how I have experienced the unconscious living through me beyond the tiny local trials of a simple conscious mind.
The fun activity I like much with my mind is, when i start with being aware of where I am and then when I realise I’m no more aware. Once I have drifted away from my awareness, going back and looking at the train of thoughts which started coming in my mind as I started drifting away from my knowledge of where I am and what I was meaning to do.
This is useful for me because I assume that the top of the mind thoughts which took me away from my address are what the unconscious is interested at this time. Better I know it or like it or not those thoughts are there behind the mind when I am not aware of them. Like a free exciting movie, not knowing what is going to come out, each time I sit waiting for the distraction, waiting to find out and be entertained by the creative ways in which my dear unconscious works.
